Is there a functional difference between the trial and the registered version?

No, trial version offers the same functionality as registered version. Please try before you buy, to make sure your hardware is compatible with BurnAware.

I purchased the software and did not receive my license key, what should I do?

Most often this is due to spam filters or anti-virus programs. It is rare that an anti-virus program will block your license key, but some systems have blocked our emails as "junk" email. In this case you will need to contact us with an alternate email address.

I entered my license key but received "invalid license key" error, what can I do?

Please run program as administrator and try again. Also make sure that you installed proper edition - Premium or Professional.

When will I receive my product?

As soon as your payment is received, your license key is sent to you by email immediately. You can download the latest trial version from the download section and use your license key to unlock it.

What is your upgrade policy?

Each license comes with one year of free upgrades beginning from the date of purchase.

Do I have to buy an upgrade subscription after one year?

No, you can turn off update notification and use your current version as long as you want.

Where does BurnAware store its settings?

The settings are stored in the INI file placed in the Application Data directory (e.g., D:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\Burnaware\burnaware.ini).

I recorded DVD-Video, but my DVD player cannot play it. What can I do?

If your DVD player supports MPEG2 format on data DVDs, you can use "DVD-Video"->"Convert and Burn" option. The program converts your video files into MPEG2 format and writes as data DVD (with ISO+UDF 1.02 file system). This type of DVD is compatible with most DVD players.
In case if your DVD player does not support data DVDs, you need to use DVD authoring software to prepare VIDEO_TS folder. This folder can be later recorded on DVD using "DVD-Video"->"Burn VIDEO_TS" option.

How do I finalize the disc after recording?

Insert a disc, launch the Data Disc compilation, click YES to import the previous session, tick "finalize disc" in the options and burn the disc.

How to burn my photos and view it on DVD player?

Insert a disc, launch the Data Disc compilation, tick "finalize disc" in the options, select ISO+UDF in bottom left corner, add photos and burn the disc.

How to change an order of audio tracks on CD?

You can do it only in Audio CD compilation, audio tracks on MP3 disc can be sorted only alphabetically.
